My first Entrepreneurial Job
At one time in our lives, we are all entrepreneurs. Building a lemonade stand, selling Girl Scout cookies or even persuading our parents to give us a little more allowance are all the basis for a good entrepreneur. My first real "gig" where I made money on my own was not mowing grass or even babysitting. My first entrepreneurial experience was painting numbers on curbs. Yes, you see them everyday and probably never wonder who put them there. Let me tell you, this is a money-maker. Back in the early 80's, we were painting one for $5 and two for $8. My partner and I would come home each night with dollar bills falling out of our pockets. We were averaging over $50 an hour in revenue!
Since my days of painting curbs, I have done many things, but nothing as rewarding as coming home from a walk down a street where I collect money every step of the way. It is those lessons that bring me to my current endeavor with EIRO Research. EIRO is a new company with a new philosophy in social commerce. EIRO is an entrepreneurs dream because they are creating the environment, all we have to do is walk down the street.

Using Your Contacts for Others
I learned a valuable lesson a few months ago. A great friend of mine went back into the workforce after spending 5 years at home with her sons. She was excited, enthusiastic and immediately loyal to her new employer. She was in a sales role and went after new business with such intensity that I thought she would outshine her coworkers easily and she did. She had more new appointments than anyone, she pitched the company day after day. She was doing great. Unfortunately, the company was not as busy as her. After three months on the job, she was laid off. Honestly, it's not so bad that she was unemployed again....she had 3 months to get her feet wet, get back in the swing of things, learn new technology and build her self-confidence. What is bad is that she used her personal contacts to make those appointments and build business for a company that had no loyalty to her. She gave away her personal equity to this company and they now "own" her pipeline. Actually, they always "owned" her pipeline...she was just fooled into thinking it was her business.
If you are going to be in sales, be in business for yourself. I know it is hard, it is always hard. Choose a partner that will give you the back-office support, the marketing materials, the systems, the product and the know-how. The relationships you build belong to you and nobody else.
I have chosen EIRO Research as my partner. The corporate team and field leadership are second to none. The product is an amazing nutriceutical that one of my friends calls "a daily shot of sunshine." Make yourself Whole. Work for YOU. visit: www.goeiroresearch.com
